Sometimes the internal tension mechanism for Vinyl Mini Blinds can be a bit tight when you first use them. By holding the bottom bar from the center and pulling down firmly but carefully, the mechanism will release and the blinds should open. This works best before the blind has been mounted onto the installation brackets.

The blinds may only require this extra effort the first time opening them and will be easier to raise and lower as the shades adjust to regular use.
